Welcome to All Who Serve

Welcome to the website for the Gregory J. Harris Military Courtesy Room at Syracuse’s Hancock International Airport. The Staff and Volunteers of the Military Courtesy Room are proud to serve each and every member of our Armed Forces who walks through our doors. We are one of only a handful of privately funded military lounges in the nation. We fully understand the rare opportunity we have to bring the thanks of a faithful nation to each and every individual that visits our facilities.

Located in the 2nd floor, North Terminal, Terminal B

We provide our servicemen and women with snacks, beverages and a comfortable place to wait and rest for flights or transportation to many of the local military installations, in particular Ft. Drum—a US Army base located a little over an hour north of Syracuse. Ft. Drum is home to the 10th Mountain Division and the majority of the military traffic we see comes from these amazing men and women. It truly is an honor to serve them.

Every item in the Military Courtesy Room comes from private and corporate donations from local folks and companies. The City of Syracuse has also wholeheartedly supported our efforts and is an integral part of the continuing success of our project. We are humbled to be one of only two privately supported rooms of this kind in the United States.

The Courtesy Room is named in honor of a local Marine, Cpl. Gregory J. Harris who was captured in June of 1966 during the Vietnam War and is still unaccounted for. Cpl. Harris was a 1963 Graduate of West Genesee High School and has family and friends that still live in Central New York and are actively pursuing his case with the Department of Defense.
